Following the Chancellor’s latest announcement, it is hoped that UK bars, restaurants pubs will start to get busier over the coming weeks, as the hospitality sector starts its journey to returning to normal. With more guests visiting venues, it is imperative that the industry does their bit to protect their teams and guests and contribute to avoiding a second wave of COVID19. With this in mind, tracking and tracing visitors is now more than important than ever.
Wireless Social & Purple launched their Track and Trace product last week, and over 70 brands have signed up to help protect the nation and keep people safe including Oakman Inns, Corbin & King and Darwin & Wallace. As part of the Wi-Fi journey, visitors are asked to register their name and phone number when logging onto the venue’s Wi-Fi. There is then a seamless repeat registration for Track & Trace in same operator venues. Their data is then stored securely for 21 days, and data is only passed over to the NHS Test and Trace service if a case is reported within the venue.
The new Track & Trace product is an add on to the Wireless Social technology which through the power of Wi-Fi allows brands to have ongoing visit behaviour tracking, to track loyalty and run proof of marketing campaigns. All data is automatically linked to all intelligence programmes enabling brands to have a holistic view of their guests. Whilst it is not compulsory to log onto the Wi-Fi when registering, Wireless Social have reported that on average, there is a 79.4% increase in new users logging into the Wi-Fi with average opt in percentages rising 4% to 65.4%. This means the overall increase in marketable data available to brands using the Track & Trace solution is 90.63%.
